The City of Sherwood, which incorporated in 1893, encompasses 4.5 square miles of land on the south edge of the Portland metropolitan area, located in northwestern Oregon. Sherwood is situated in the southeast corner of Washington County, which lies in the Tualatin Valley. As of 2015, the city’s population is 18,955, and it is predicted to increase by 100 people per year for the next several years.
